Yesterday I noticed a gas station selling regular gas for $1.99. Considering that it is the more expensive, environmentally friendly gas we have to use in the winter, that's quite a reduction in price from our Summer highs. I'm sorry to see this, frankly. It would be a lot easier for Joe the Plumber to focus on conserving if he didn't have the understandable suspicion that the availability of gas, like its price, is all a matter of market manipulation.
The good news? Bus ridership in ALbuquerque, which increased sharply as gas prices went up, doesn't seem to be going down.
