Readers might be interested in this document, from Harvard Divinity School, of a small research project related to Excellence in Ministry at that school Report to the Panel on Theological Education
There is one basic assumption in this paper that concerns me. Ministers who are serving in non- senior or sole positions were not included in the survey. If we are to have excellent large congregation minstries - these second and third positons must be taken seriously. There is a high degree of craft to working as an effective team. Harvard clearly does not think so.
